The second part of semester 2 will be spent being introduced to JavaScript. We will introduce basic programming concepts and how they can be used to create simple apps inside our HTML webpage. We will also look into how JavaScript can be used alongside CSS to create interactivity in our webpage design.

Classwork #1 : JavaScript Variables
This task will introduce the different types of string and integer variables and how they can be used to do basic functions like mathematics and then display the outputs in HTML format. We will also look at using simple loop functions during this task too.

Classwork #2 : JavaScript Input and Output
This task will introduce how JavaScript can use textboxes to allow the user to input information via their webpage. We will also look at how we can use message boxes to display the output information too. We will also introduce the use of buttons to add interactive functionality to our webpages.

Classwork #3 : JavaScript IF statements
This task will be to create a username and password logon screen to enter our website. The functionality will use IF statements to check that the correct information has been input and then forward the user to the correct page or display an error message if the incorrect details and input.

This task will be to use JavaScript elements such as textboxes and buttons which will then alter the look and feel of the webpage depending on which input is selected and how it interacts with the accompanying CSS file.

This project will be to create a simple calculator app using a combination of CSS for the design and JavaScript for the functionality. It will be required to do basic addition, subtraction and multiplication and display the results appropriately on the accompanying HTML webpage.
