An interesting article about the benefits of coding in young learners and why there is a renewed push worldwide to equip students with these skills. Cool that it also name checks Alan Turing and especially Sir Tim Berners-Lee who are two of the most respected computer scientists in history in my humble opinion. Our Apple iMac's in Lab 1 are being upgraded over the holidays to have the latest version of Adobe Suite installed and available on all machines. They are also being upgraded to the latest iOS 10.12 Sierra.
As always the iMac lab will be available for all students to use during their free time to work on any media, graphics or video projects that they are undertaking. We are also aiming to bring you upgraded hardware to turn the iMacs into a useful tool for students to express there artistic talents in the near future. Both labs have now upgraded their classroom management software to the latest HP version ahead of the start of semester 2. This will allow us to continue to monitor student's work and performance during lessons and add a new dimension as to how students are able to interact with the teacher during their time in the labs.
